It's amazing how much meat and cheese you can cram in over a weekend if you really apply yourself. We were in Houston for
Amy Evans' opening at Koelsch Gallery and knew we needed to check out some Tex-Mex. So as soon as we got into town, we made a beeline for the original Ninfa's. On the menu: cheese enchilada, beef fajitas, taco a ninfa, taquito, fish tacos, and the best beans anywhere:



We also made it to Goode Co. BBQ, for, among other things, this monster of a 'sandwich' - you're looking at a brisket/jalapeno sausage/quarter duck combo here:

This was so good that I made a point to hit Goode's taqueria for migas at breakfast before leaving town:
