Doughnut Burger
Today's lunch from Cypress Street Plate & Pint in Atlanta. According to Wikipedia: "A Luther Burger, or doughnut burger, is a hamburger or cheeseburger with one or more glazed doughnuts in place of the bun. According to legend, the burger was named for and was a favorite (and possible invention) of singer-songwriter and record producer Luther Vandross. The Daily Telegraph reported that Mulligan's, a suburban bar in Decatur, GA may be progenitor of the burger, as the owner substituted the doughnuts when running out of buns." The version below features 'buns' courtesy of our beloved Sublime Doughnuts.
