The national movement to fight children’s hunger, Share Our Strength, is touring the country to promote the cause. Their most recent endeavor took place in Charleston on July 14. Chef Sean Brock of McCrady’s Restaurant brought together a group of chefs to take part in A Tasteful Pursuit, Share Our Strength’s traveling dinner series.
Brock’s menu for the evening included Wild King Salmon and a 36-Hour Beef Short Rib. This multi-course dinner also featured Lucca’s Ken Vendrinski, Fig’s Mika Lata, The Hermitage Hotel’s Tyler Brown, and McCrady’s Winburn Carmack.
The event was a huge success, as they raised thousands of dollars to continue in this battle against children’s hunger.
The next event will be Feast for the Future in Santa Fe, NM, followed by Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Florham Park, NJ; Boston, MA; and Chicago, IL.
